Specialised Security Services
There is little argument about the security situation in South Africa. Most of the major cities in the country have a crime rate that is off the clock when compared with other countries. It is very obvious that our police force is unable to control crime, and too often when an alleged criminal comes to court the punishment does not fit the crime. This is one of the reasons why specialised security services are required in the country, and one of the reasons why we have seen the inception of several new specialised security services companies coming onto the scene in this country. South Africa has always had a large number of active security companies, but until recently their main object has been to either provide security guards for organisations wishing to outsource their live security, or to provide a rapid response unit for intruder alarms and panic buttons.
